We are God’s children. God has revealed His love for us chiefly through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. In response to God’s love and in obedience to His command, we are sent to proclaim His Good News throughout the world. This mission is carried out by the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit.In order to fulfill the church’s calling to be light bearers in this world, The Floyd-Willis Parish has elected leaders to guide, direct, envision, and enable our parish to proclaim God’s grace in the world around us. In order to carry out this mission, the Joint Parish Council strives:
- to provide opportunities for glorifying God through worship and receiving the means of His grace which are the Word and
Sacraments.- to provide opportunities for learning God’s Word and sharing His Gospel so that faith may be strengthened and nurtured;
- to provide opportunities for enrichment and fellowship in order that the Baptized people of God may grow in faith, serving Christ
through this faith community;- to serve the needs of all people through local programs, those of the Synod, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and
worldwide ministries;- to provide opportunities for supporting all ministries of the church and encouraging the involvement of all members in the giving
of their time, talents, and resources;- and to encourage and accept opportunities to witness to the Good News in our lives thus enabling others to experience God’s
love.
These persons currently serve God and this parish by means of the Joint Parish Council.
